
EDUCATION, RESEARCH AND PUBLICATION COMMISSION
Function and powers.
The Commission for Tondism Faith on Education, Research and Publication is one of the major commissions responsible for: universities, faculties, institutes and higher schools of study, educational institutes depending on faith authorities.
It shall always be in charge of regulating the faith academic institutions which prepares those students and candidates intending to become priests for anointment and consecration. The Commission for Tondism Faith on Education Research and Publication retains responsibility for matters pertaining to the structure of institutions at different levels, in consultation with the High council of Priests.
The Commission approves the faith learning institutions, ratifies their statutes, exercises the highest supervision over them, and ensures that the integrity of the faith is preserved in teaching doctrine. The commission also nominates or confirms highest personal academic authorities of the faith Academic institutions, that is to say; – Principals, academic registrars, Head teachers and school management committees among other authorities.
The commission shall ensure that the faith Education system follows National and international academic guidelines, such as those recommended by the national Ministries in order to legitimately and validly grant certificates, diplomas and Degrees.
The Tondism faith Board and Commission on Education, Research and Publication shall undertake the several other functions through;
i) Ensuring observance to the traditional education of children based on native norms and rich human values, norms and identity
ii) Design curriculum to be observed for the training and formation of priests and leaders
iii) Make African theological research and conceptualize it into faith scriptures, hymns, prayers and promotion of African and Tondism liturgical standards
iv) Make reviews and scrutinize the publication of the faith literature, Illustrative Arts and messages
v) Make studies, compile and publish the ancient theological native history and be used to determine the standards of the promotion of our faith.
vi) Study and analyze the practices of other faith and religions, the history of their formation and establishment, intentions, ill motives, unrevealed secrets
vii) Work with other stakeholders and Government to share proposals on the relevant academic curriculum that suits African styles, livelihood and norms.
viii) Provide case studies and educative guidance to the High council of priests and other departments for informed decisions in the sector
ix) Present periodic strategic plans to the High Council of priests for the proper direction, guidance and management of the sector
x) Encourage and ensure the school going children of the faithful attain the relevant academics required to meet the demands, challenges and labor market requirements.
xi) To plan and design strategic measures of establishing the faith schools and training centers for the holistic and integral development of the faithful and the institution human resource
