
The Commission for the propagation of faith and Doctrine of the Faith is among the eleven Boards and commissions of the Tondism Faith. It was established to fulfill the following functions and responsibilities;
i) It is the body responsible for promulgating and defending the Tondism faith doctrine. It is one of the Supreme Sacred commissions of the faith, and therefore, it is a holy office.
ii) Its major objective and function is to spread sound Tondism Faith doctrine, teachings and defend those points of the faith tradition which seem in danger because of new and unacceptable Christian and other divergent religious doctrines. Its headquarters are at the holy office of the High Priest in the Republic of Uganda. The commission may employ advisory personnel who may include; Priests, experienced lay believers, lawyers, academia headed by a priest and the commissioner in charge of the propagation of the faith.
iii) The Commission is the Supreme Sacred Board of the propagation of the Tondism faith whose task is to maintain and defend the integrity of the faith and to examine and scrutinize errors and false doctrines.” It is served as the final court of appeal in trials of internal contradictory teachings and served as an important part of the counter preaching of foreign religious preachers and missionaries. This commission was also named the Supreme Sacred Commission of the propagation of Tondism Faith by the High Council of Priests.
iv) The proper duty of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith is to promote and safeguard the doctrine on faith and morals in the whole Tondism faith world; so it has competence in things that touch this matter in any way. This includes investigations into grave acts which the Tondism Faith considers as being the most serious crimes: crimes against the Institution of the Most Holy covenant and crimes committed by a cleric against a person under the age of eighteen. These crimes, comes under the competency of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith.
